Food Matching Note:
The full rich spiciness of this wine will compliment any rich gamey or red meat dishes, such as braised pheasant in red wine or steak au poivre.
Tasting Note:
Rich ruby red with purple hues. A very intense bouquet of spices, notes of liquorice and morello cherries. On the palate it is soft and well-balanced, with good freshness and well-integrated tannins.

Vinification Note:
The Montepulciano vines are grown in the loose, silty soil of the Costa di Morro vineyard. Maceration on the skins is for about 15 days after which malolactic fermentation occurs. The wine is then aged in oak (50% new, 50% second fill) for 12-14 months and then a further 6-8 months in bottle.
