Paulinshof, situated in the village of Kesten on the banks of the river Mosel, is a small producer of top quality Rieslings. There are written records that the ecclesiastical St Paulin estate was involved in vine growing in AD 936, and the Brauneberger Juffer vineyard was recognised by Napoleon’s classification as the top site in the Mosel in 1804. Owners Christa and Oliver Jungling work nine hectares of precipitous vineyard to produce sublime and delicate wines with a delicious seam of minerality and acidity. The slate soils, old vines and tiny yields combine to ensure wines of world class. We have added two dry Rieslings this year to the range of more traditional styles.
