Named after its first 17th century owner, Hieronymus Manincor zu Ehrenhausen, Manincor is a relatively new and unique producer based in the picturesque hills surrounding the Lake of Caldaro in South Tyrol. The estate itself is an impressive mix of the old and the new, with a 17th century building and an almost indiscernible cellar underneath the vinyards. The innovative young team, led by the estate's owner Count Michael Goess Enzenberg, have been making wine since 1996 and now have a range of exciting blends of both international and indigenous grape varieties. They believe in maximum expression of terroir through spontaneous fermentation, believing the best wines are made with the least possible interference.
