Situated in the heart of Lebanon, in the Bekaa Valley, Château Kefraya’s 300-hectare domaine extends to the foothills of Mount Lebanon, 20 km to the south of the city of Chtaura. The vineyards are planted in a succession of terraces and hills which are often on quite steep slopes, at an altitude of 950 to 1100 metres on clay, lime and stone soils.
For six to seven months a year there is no rainfall whatsoever. The winery is located at the centre of the domaine and is fitted with highly sophisticated equipment allowing the manually gathered grapes to be conveyed, de-stemmed, vinified and pressed in small quantities and with maximum care and attention to each individual parcel.
