La Crotta di Vegneron

Crotta di Vegneron (or ‘cave of the winemaker’ in the local dialect) is a 30-year-old co-operative in the shadow of the Alps in the Valle d’Aosta. They make wines from both local and international varieties. The Muscat is typically aromatic, with an unctuous perfume matched by a refreshingly dry and light finish, while the indigenous Fumin – a centuries old local grape – offers intensity and amazing colour.
The 2008 won a Tre Bicchieri (three glasses) award.
