Yves Girardin, the owner of Château de la Charrière, comes from a long line of vignerons; in fact Yves is the 14th generation to be involved in wine production. The estate is based in Santenay, at the southern end of the Côte d’Or, and extends to 19 hectares. The wine is made in the traditional manner with fermentation and ageing taking place in oak barriques. The wine is a classic expression of the Pinot Noir grape, and represents excellent value-for-money.
